Island Elixir Tea Company

This time of year, life starts moving so fast it is easy to forget to tend the spark that makes you feel alive. As a mom of two and entrepreneur in my 40's I completely understand what it's like when 'one more thing' blurs into the next. It's so easy to keep running and ignore what you crave. That's exactly why I craft micro-batch teas infused with intention and Reiki energy. Because I believe your cup of tea should be more than just a drink. It should be a moment where, in just five minutes, you feel connected, grounded and ready for what's next. Where Steeping Calm becomes the fuel that keeps your spark alive. I invite you to come experience Tea with Intention and find your moment of calm this holiday season.

Seagull Sweets Co.

Seagull Sweets Co. is  charming confectionery business where handcrafted caramels, pillowy marshmallows, and whimsical treats are made with care and a dash of coastal nostalgia. Inspired by  coastal living each creation balances sweet indulgence with a touch of sea salt magic.

Smart Sip Cream Co.

Meet Ashlyn! She lives in Colwood and created Smart Sip. Smart Sip is a coconut oil based powdered creamer that has only 25 calories and 3g of fiber per serving. It is sugar free, gluten free, lactose-free and designed with your goals in mind. You get to skip the junk but never miss out on 100% creamy goodness.

As a nutrition coach she saw a gap in the food & beverage industry as more than 90% of people aren't getting enough fibre, which plays a huge role in their health and weight loss goals. Sugary drinks that people consume leave them sluggish, struggling with their energy levels and elevating their hunger. She wanted to create a product that still gave them that delicious drink without all of the nasty side-effects.

Not a coffee or tea drinker? That’s ok! Smart Sip can be used in yogurt, oatmeal, smoothies, shakes, pancake mix, pudding, on fruit, in Creamis, dirty sodas and more! It's the smarter way to start your day.

Smart Sip Cream Co. also carries frothers, camper mugs and their popular "I thought I liked coffee, turns out I like creamer" branded sweatshirt that will be worn in the Dragon’s Den audition this upcoming spring.

What began as a dream evolved into a mission to create something uniquely meaningful for the community.

 Jewelry

Calli Lilli Jewelry

Hello there I’m Nancy, the founder and designer behind Calli Lilli jewelry. I love everything jewelry related - creating jewelry- shopping for jewelry - learning about gemstones, crystals and beads all of it! I have been obsessed with jewelry for as long as I can remember and after one trip to Paris I was inspired to pursue jewelry making. Inspired by travel, color, and the opulence of faceted stones my designs are arranged to capture the beauty and natural elegance of the materials. My work is handmade and artisanal, each piece unique and created with care. I strive to create beautiful pieces that are adorable and affordable for everyday wear. Wearing beautiful jewelry makes every moment great and I want to share my jewelry with you!

Planet Mars Jewelry

I make handmade earrings, sun-catchers, bookmarks, and necklaces. My jewelry is a mix of playful and elegant so they make a perfect addition to spruce up your outfit!

Salty Oak Studios

Our pieces are thoughtfully designed and made by hand in our home studio. Each piece is made with intention and love, incorporating the beauty of hand pressed botanicals. Outside our window, as we work, is our oak tree - weathered and worn and coated with the salty ocean air that makes us feel at home. This is how the Salty Oak brand was created.
Our family consists of the main artist, Chelsea (Mum), the assembly master David (Dad) and the nature collectors Charlie & Benji (kids aged 6&8). We spend time exploring our beautiful island collecting moss, leaves, weeds and other botanicals to design our art. We also garden in our own backyard and source some florals from other sources too!

The Backyard Birdhouse

During the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, my husband and I decided we'd try to keep busy by making a few projects out of reclaimed/refurbished materials. And soon, the Backyard Birdhouse was born. Our goal is to create pieces that clearly show we have put time and effort into creating them. Our creations can easily fit into your interior home decor just as much as your exterior garden decor and we hope that we can provide bird and garden lovers, and homeowners, with unique, fun designs loaded with charm and character.

Woodworking

Doug Alderson - Woodturner

Doug was also known as “Mr. Alderson” because for 32 years he was a teacher in the Saanich School District. Trained as a woodwork teacher he also worked as a boat builder and carpenter. His wood turning experience has spanned more than 50 years.

In recent years he has been turning bowls from garry oak, arbutus, alder, cherry and a wide variety of woods retrieved from back yards including walnut, acacia, eucalyptus, and honey locust. At the Patio Gardens Christmas Market you will find a variety of bowls, twig-pots, plates, pepper grinders, rolling pins and other round things.

Driftwood Christmas trees, hand imprinted t-shirts

WestCoasters BC

My name is Jill, and I am a wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, teacher, and (apparently) a wood worker. Ask me even 5 years ago if I saw myself holding power tools and working with wood, I might have laughed at you. I didn’t grow up around them, but here we are, proof that you can learn new skills even when you’re “old”.

I LOVE working on this business, I love interacting with you all, and I love being creative. I love seeing your ideas, and how I can make them come to life. I surprise myself over and over, and pinch myself when I see a completed project. So thank you for supporting me, my dream, and my family

Oldfield Rustics

We are Steve and Sarah Froese, a husband/wife team that create handmade rustic home decor and original art in Central Saanich. We love bringing the outdoors in with our driftwood and seaglass art. We are proud of the variety of wooden treasures we offer, including carved animals, Christmas decor, wooden signs, and home decor crafted from reclaimed wood.

Willow Pond Woodturning

Anne Warren was born and raised in Victoria, BC, and lives on a rural property in the West Saanich area. Now retired from a teaching career she has found extra time for grandchildren, gardening, forest walks, raising eggs and chickens, and woodturning. Self-taught for the majority of her wood endeavors, woodturning has become her preferred art form. Anne joined the Island Woodturners Guild 14 years ago and continues to be an active member. She enjoys a wide range of woodturning and is continually amazed at the beauty of the wood and the multitude of surprises found  inside a blank of wood.  Anne works from her own workshop with local woods, a large lathe, and a variety of tools and accessories to help with the adventure.

Crafts

Angela's Creations

Hi, I’ve been making Christmas gnomes for several years now and they have been super popular. I handcast and hand paint them so they make nice Christmas decor. We live in a coastal community so I’ve added Christmas themed seashell ornaments which flew off the table at last years show

Elissa Kember has been playing with dirt and plants all of her life. She hopes to share her love of nature through arts and crafts that celebrate the beauty of wood, clay, stone, and botanicals. During Yuletide, she offers cards and ornaments made from recycled textiles and paper collage. No one( including Elissa) knows exactly what she’ll be crafting from year to year, so be sure to stop by her table to see!

Pins & Needles Craftworks

I do a wide variety of Christmas Ornaments, Felted gnomes and other items, Cat and Dog Stockings and toys, fabric arts, feather nesters, and assorted novelty xmas earrings.

Insect Craft

A fascination with insects has led to the creation of these pieces. The class Insecta is vast and varied; rich with shapes, sizes, colors and metamorphosis. This is the result of years of experimentation with an epoxy compound and a variety of materials. Wire, stone, film and metallic powders are fixed into the medium before it sets. Each one is individually sculpted and diabolically detailed, right down to the antennae. The appendages are flexible and embedded through the cement, finished with a protective coating for durability. These critters are comfortable just about anywhere – the garden hat, the jacket lapel or lounging on a lampshade. Jewelry with shock value… never met with indifference, responses ranging from a shudder to a squeal of delight. Enjoy!

Oldfield Gnomes

I have lived in the Prospect Lake area most of my life and have been a customer of your lovely nursery for decades.  I've been making soft indoor gnomes for a couple of years now.

I had my first ever market at your place last year and had an absolute blast!  It was so much fun and I'm very grateful that you have allowed me to return this year.

My gnomes this year are, what I call, new and improved versions from last year.  There are a lot of various forms of gnomes everywhere these days but I've never seen anything like what I make.  So my table will be something new for everyone's viewing pleasure

Paper Trail Goods

Letterpress is the slow, craftsman approach to printing. Using a collection of vintage presses with wood type and linoleum cuts we create posters, sketch books, notebooks and cards. Beautiful paper such as vintage BC maps and hand stitched bindings result in one of a kind pieces. Our new impractical series incorporates covers from nature such as tree bark and slate, resulting in more sculptural work.

In My Backyard

In My Backyard is the happy home of the paper goods, small batch accessories, and fine art prints by artist and illustrator Katie Wilson. My work is inspired by the little details I see in gardens, the landscape around me, and on long nature rambles in the surrounding forests and beaches. I love exploring themes of home and cosiness, and our place in the natural world.
