Workshop FAQ’S
We welcome you with the following considerations:
Q: Where are the workshops located?
A: They are located at 6536 West Saanich Rd. We have a 950sqft heated classroom adjacent to the gift shop. There is free on site parking and 3 washrooms. The classroom and 1 of the washrooms is wheelchair accessible.
Q: Is prior experience necessary for attending the workshop?
A: No, it's not. Our educational workshops are crafted and instructed to ensure that every participant creates a stunning arrangement. All we ask is that you come with a fun and eager-to-learn attitude.
Q: Can I cancel my workshop booking?
A: While we understand that cancellations happen, please note that our workshops are non-refundable if canceled within 72 hours of the event time. However, you have the option to transfer your reserved seat to someone else. We just need the transferapproved in writing from the original customer.
If you notify us at events@patiogardens.ca with more than 72 hours notice, your entire workshop fee will be refunded directly back to the method of payment used to pay for the workshop on the original order.
Q: How long are the workshops?
A: They vary from 1 hour to full day or muli-day workshops. That information is listed on each class description.
Q: The workshop I want to go to is sold out. Is there a waitlist?
A: Yes, we ask that you notify the staff at Patio Gardens or email events@patiogardens.ca and we will notify you if a space opens up.
Q: I would like to sit with my friends, can we arrange that?
A: Yes, please let us know ahead of time the names of the participants you would like to sit with and we will make arrangements so you are seated close to each other.
Q: Can I bring a guest or child?
A: Spaces are allocated for participants and often classes are sometimes sold out. Every individual at a table must be a paying customer, regardless of age. Exceptions are made for children who are still breastfeeding or anyone assisting someone with special needs. If you need more than 1 seat, please notify us ahead of time at events@patiogardens.ca
Q: Is there a minimum age requirement?
A: Most of our classes require some level of tactile ability and are geared towards 12 years and older. We ask that no minors (18 and younger) are left without a parent or guardian on site.
Q: Do I need to bring my own gloves or clippers?
A: Yes if listed in the class description. We will supply all other necessary tools and materials.
Q: Can I arrange a private class for my company or my group of friends?
A: Yes we offer private classes for groups of 10 or more. Just email us to organize the requested content and preferred date.

If you would like to be addressed in a particular manner, please let the instructor know at the beginning of class, or let us know by email so we can ensure our space is welcoming and comfortable for all people.
