Purposeful Planting Evening

March 12th, 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Join Tasha Medve for a fun, hands-on garden talk and container planting session to grow with purpose!

Come and sip on a locally crafted cider (both alcoholic, and non-alcoholic available) and listen to a garden talk with Tasha! Get inspired about gardening season and learn some of the techniques from her book, The Purposeful Gardener.

Copies of The Purposeful Gardener will be available for purchase, or bring yours in for her to sign!

Afterwards, you'll plant your own container herb garden to take home with Tasha's guidance, and enjoy a mix and mingle with fellow gardeners in the community! Food & drinks will be provided.

100% of the proceeds from each ticket sold will go to the Victoria Women's Transition House.

Resilient Gardening & FireSmart

April 19th, 12:00pm to 3:30pm

Having a wildfire-resilient garden is becoming increasingly important for homeowners. This practical, engaging workshop helps residents understand wildfire behaviour, identify vulnerable areas in their yards, and take proactive steps to create a more wildfire-resilient landscape. Participants will learn how to make informed choices about plants, mulches, groundcovers, and ongoing maintenance, as well as how to adapt to changing climate conditions and protect their homes without giving up a beautiful garden.
